In a world full of challenges and uncertainties, advocating for oneself can be a daunting task.

I haven’t always been a therapist and Coach and the journey in anyone’s career can be convoluted. I have had many different roles and experiences and like to think that this gives me a broad perspective and empathetic stance. After working in local government and then being self-employed, I reached a crossroads when I turned 30. I returned to studying and qualified initially as an Occupational Therapist before specialising in mental health. I consider myself a life-long learner and enjoy the experience of gaining new insights and skills. I am an accredited CBT Therapist, gained qualifications in Interpersonal therapy (IPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and am working towards becoming an EMDR consultant.
After working in the NHS for 20 years, I have now moved into private practice where I am developing my skills as a Confidence Coach and can focus fully on the needs of clients rather than on targets. I often like to work in a way that utilises all my therapeutic skills. I enjoy getting to the heart of issues and understanding how our core beliefs and past experiences impact on our mood and mental health but also in our body’s physical health, diet, and sleep.
